Imagine having a dog show in a fancy hotel ballroom complete with chandeliers. Yep, that's where it was held except for the agility competition that took place outside.

Marlyn Randall was very busy as the official show secretary, but she took time to reminisce with me about my first year in Accokeek. She said she and Norm showed me in puppy classes that year, but I don't remember much about it.

Winnie hadn't seen her birth father, Bruce Trethaway, for almost 8 years since she left his Kent, Ohio, home to come to Virginia to live with me. He told Winnie she looked like her mother which pleased her. They had a lot of catching up to do.
Holiday Inn employees (left to right) Dorothy Thompson, Ali Fernaays, Sharon Moore) welcomed us warmly in the front lobby. Everywhere you looked at the Francis Scott Key Holiday Inn, there were Bostons.

I had an ad about my book in
both of the show program books.
Our friends, Judy Shields and Liz Butler, helped us set up our booth to tell people about LapDog Therapy and pitched in the whole time in to help us and the BTC of MD.
It was a great opportunity for us to meet Boston lovers and Bostons from states I'd never heard of before - and from Canada, too. We explained over and over what therapy doggin gis all about and even got to be on Hagerstown NBC-25 TVfs
